Ormai sono indirizzata verso il colore e lo shabby è quasi un ricordo, uno stile che non mi rappresenta più.
Nonostante questo, la nostra camera è l'unica stanza in cui resiste ancora il neutro totale.
Bianco e tortora sono gli unici colori presenti, a parte qualche piccola esplosione di colore sul letto.
Oggi vi racconto la storia di questi quadretti.
Li avevo fatti per riempire due cornici prese al mercatino dell'usato. Orrende, ma dalla deliziosa forma ovale.

Il problema è che con il tempo le cornici si sono letteralmente sgretolate, grazie ai tarli.
Non mi ero accorta fossero tarlate ( cosa peraltro piuttosto ovvia quando è legno vecchio).
Vedevo spesso della polverina per terra ma pensavo venisse dalle travi ( ahimè, altra cosa abbastanza ovvia in campagna) e quando mi sono resa conto che erano le cornici era troppo tardi.
Ho cercato di salvarle ma mi si rompevano in mano.. e quindi addio alle cornici.

Today I''m telling you about two tiny fabric pictures I made a few years ago.
I recycled two old oval frames and made them to fit in.

The frames literally crumbled due to woodworms.
I didn't notice it, since beams have some woodworms, too ( which is quite normal in country houses) and I thought the powder came from them.
When I realized it was the frames, it was too late.
I threw them away, since they broke easily.
Gli animaletti sono rimasti mesi nella mia craft room, in attesa della giusta illuminazione.
Ritrovare cornici della stessa misura e forma: quasi impossibile.
Quindi alla fine ho pensato di sfruttare un'altra cornice, già sbiancata, tolta da un lavoro precedente che non mi piaceva più.
Dato che è rettangolare, come metterli?
Mi è venuta in soccorso la passione che ho per il cordino e le mollettine.
Spesso, anche nei mercatini, ho appeso le creazioni come fossero panni stesi.
E' uno stile che mi piace tantissimo.
E quindi l'ho usato per questa cornice.
Non ho dovuto nemmeno mettere un gancio, perché essendo vuota, è bastato appoggiarla sul chiodo che già era nel muro.

The two animals stayed in my craft room without a frame.
I didn't know how to save them.
Finding the same frame was impossible.
Then I had the idea to use another old frame, from an old work I didn't like anymore.
How to hang them in?
I thought to use a method I adore: wooden pegs and rope.
I use this kind of display often in market stalls and like it so much.
So I hanged them inside the frame and had no need to add a hook to it, since it is empty and could be hanged to the nail in the wall.
Perfect!

E a proposito di nuovi tocchi, in camera ha trovato posto anche una mini ghirlanda di lucine a batteria che avevo preso tempo fa da Casa. Non un grande acquisto, per la verità.
Troppo corta per qualsiasi uso avessi in mente e con i cuoricini che si staccano dalle lucine solo a guardarli.
Dopo varie peregrinazioni in casa l'ho messa sopra il letto.
Può andare.. per ora, anche se tutto forse troppo cuoricioso ( ho detto che sto cambiando gusti!!) o___O
