Ton sur ton mon amour

Le più osservatrici tra voi avranno già notato questo cuore nel nuovo header..l'ho fatto due giorni fa, seguendo una suggestione notturna..capita anche a voi? io spesso fatico ad addormentarmi perchè penso e ripenso a cosa fare e come farlo..e così è stato con questo cuore. Volevo una nuova "insegna" per la porta della mia craft room. Volevo che fosse romantica, elegante. Ho aquistato questo schema stitchery Tilda alla Panduro a Oslo. L'ho realizzato a un filo con moulinè DMC n°640 (e 644 per la scritta)..una tonalità di grigio molto calda. Per il cuore ho usato lino bianco e un bellissimo tessuto neutro pesante, proveniente da una tenda Ikea fallata, trovata nel cesto delle occasioni tessili. Ho deciso di quiltarlo con trapuntatuta a macchina a moto libero, con filo ton sur ton.

Someone of you may have noticed my new header picture..I made that heart two days ago. I thought about it while trying to sleep at night. I wanted it to be romantic and elegant. I used a Tilda stitchery from Panduro in Oslo, embroidered with one DMC 640 floss (644 for the sentence "love to sew")..a kind of very warm gray. I then used white linen and fabric from an Ikea curtain I found in occasions basket. I quilted it free motion with ton sur ton floss.

Qualche centimetro di passamaneria francese ecrù e bianco e del pizzo..

A few centimetres of french ribbons and some lace..

E il tocco finale: un bellissimo fiore crochet della mia bravissima amica Giovanna. Manco a farlo apposta è perfetto!

Tutto questo per dirvi che con pochissima spesa si può fare molto: andate spesso nei mercatini o negli angoli occasioni e cercate, cercate..la soddisfazione di fare qualcosa con tessuti di recupero è ancora più grande che con stoffe perfette e costose!

That is to say: go to flea markets, to second hand shops and look for occasions. Doing things with these fabrics gives far more satisfaction than using perfect and expensive fabrics!
